Bigger
Bigger was my entry for the 2022 Manga Jiman contest, on the theme of "Connect".
A meditation on growing older and becoming a parent, and the perspective that grants us on our relationships.
I chose to make this a silent comic so I could focus on showing, not telling - and to remove any distractions from the story itself.
Although it didn't make the shortlist, drawing the story was a very challenging and cathartic experience. I hope to be able to put as much of myself into my art in the future.
